Taiwan's renewables generation dipped 2.16%

This is despite PV and wind power hiking almost 50% and 17.16% respectively.

Taiwan generated 12.45 billion kWh of renewable energy in 2017, a 2.16% drop year on year, according to the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

PV power hiked 49.47% whilst onshore and offshore wind power ballooned 17.16%. Hydraulic power dropped 17.22% as rainfall hit lower-than-average figures.

Biomass-generated power on the other hand also dipped 8.91%.
