Jindal Power to double generation capacity in India

Jindal Powerwants to acquire thermal power plants with a minimum capacity of 1,000MW to double its generation capacity in India.

The company said it is ready to purchase generators under construction that have assured coal supply.

Jindal Power is among power producers rushing to add capacity to help reduce blackouts and sustain expansion in India and is currently building 6,500MW of coal-fired capacity.
