Indowind procures wind turbines from Shanghai Electric

Indowind Energy is buying fourteen 2MW turbines from Shanghai Electric Group for its next project.

 

The wind turbines will be delivered by Shanghai Electirc by the end of this year. Indowind hopes to complete the the project by 2012.

According to the contract, the vendor will operate and maintain the turbines for the first two years at the project to be located in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in India.

Indowind Energy is also planning to form a joint venture with Shanghai Electric to assemble the machinery locally.
