CWPI starts building 198MW Chinese wind farm

Construction on the 198MW phase III wind energy development project in Heilongjiang Province, China has been started by China Wind Power International.

The project, to be equipped with four wind turbines of 49.5MW each, is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2012.

Upon completion, the plant will be capable of generating about 400 million kilowatt hours or energy a year.
