Wind farm and solar park financing reaches a record $41.8b in Q3 2011

It was only $33 billion in the same quarter last year.

According to a Reuters report, asset financing still increased despite the bullish European economy and depressing clean energy share prices.

Offshore wind investment is the key driver in the financing increase. There large financings for renewable energy plants in Indonesia, Brazil, and China, according to Reuters.
