Sunborne to build 50MW solar thermal plant in Andhra Pradesh

Sunborne Energy will build a 50MW solar thermal power project in Andhra Pradesh, India in partnership with Kosla Ventures and General Catalyst Partners, from which it secured $25m in funding.

The project will be set up on a 200 acre plot with an investment between Rs5bn and Rs6bn or $100 million to $120 million.

The company has also signed a power purchase agreement with the state government of Gujarat for the sale of electricity generated by the project.
