Large solar plant to rise in Japanese city of Oita
The 27,000-kw plant solar power plant that costs ¥8 billion to build will be constructed by JGC Corp. in the city of Oita.
It is scheduled to go online next May, JGC officials said.
All the electricity generated by the plant will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power Co. under a fixed-price purchase system for renewable energy, they said.
The plant's annual output will be enough to power roughly 9,000 households.
