India's BHEL to purchase power through exchanges
BHEL is seeking to purchase competitively priced electricity through open access via power exchanges.
The company plans to purchase approximately 3.50 lakh of units of power per month at various time blocks of a day through power exchange. However the quantum of purchase is not assured, the company says.
The company’s boilers auxiliaries plant at Ranipat in the power deficit state of Tamil Nadu has decided to hire consultancy services for purchase of electricity through two power exchanges.
The Ranipat unit consumes an average eight lakh units per month.
