Truly a land of rising sun.
Japan will have six new solar power plants with a combined 40MW capacity.
JFE Holdings will construct these in the Mie, Hokkaido, Okayama, Miyagi, Tochigi and Shizuoka prefectures.
Four plants begin operations next year with the remaining scheduled to begin operations in April 2014 and January 2015.
It noted that local utilities will have the choice to buy power from the plants; however, financial terms were not released.
