Hitachi Zosen to get nuke fuel firm
Japan's Hitachi Zosen Corp. will acquire NAC International Inc., a U.S. nuclear fuel cycle consultancy that manages spent fuel.
The Japanese firm said that its subsidiary Hitz Holdings U.S.A. Inc. will purchase all of NAC’s outstanding shares from its parent, USEC Inc., for $45 million (about ¥4 billion) in March.
It hopes the acquisition help develop its nuclear equipment business.
