
Dubai to invest in Chinese energy
Looks at opportunities in energy, electricity and water projects.
Wan Jifei, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and a Chinese delegation talked about opportunities with members of Dubai’s Supreme Council of Energy headed by its vice chairman, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.
The delegation from Dubai was on a business visit to Beijing to explore joint collaboration with Chinese businesses on energy, electricity and water projects. It also looked at Chinese achievements in clean energy, alternative energy sources and reducing power grid losses.
The meeting focused on strengthening relations between the two countries in energy, renewable energy and trade.
Al Tayer extended an invitation to the Chinese to attend Dubai Global Energy Forum 2013, which will take place at the same time as the 15th WETEX 2013 during April 15 to 17 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Al Tayer briefed the Chinese about Dubai’s strategic drive in developing renewable energy. The delegation also held discussions with Chinese companies to explore investment opportunities and participating in exhibitions and projects.
