Idemitsu to do biomass power generation

Establishes a joint venture to build a 5 MW biomass power station.

Idemitsu Kosan Company, Japan’s second largest petroleum refiner, will own a 50% stake in the JV. The biomass power station in Kochi prefecture in southwestern Japan will become operational by April 2015.

Idemitsu’s partners in this venture are Tosa Electric Railway Company and Kochi Prefecture Federation of Forest Owners’ Cooperative Associations
