China’s industrial energy use dips 1% in April

This is the first monthly drop since September 2012.

The National Energy Administration said industrial power consumption in April was 308.3 billion kilowatt hours, up 7.7% year-on-year.

Daily power consumption during workdays in April fell by 2.4% compared to the same period last year. China consumed 1.63 trillion kWh in the first four months, up 4.9%.
