US firm invests in Japanese solar energy market

Establishes JV with solar and wind developer EastEdge Energy.

Invenergy, a Chicago-based clean energy generation company, organized Invenergy EastEdge to tap Japan’s growing renewables market. Invenergy EastEdge will focus on renewable energy generation to develop sustainable, clean energy resources throughout Japan. It will seek to partner with large property owners and local governments looking to use their land for wind or solar facilities.

Invenergy noted Japan’s good solar and wind resources along with a favorable investment climate and public support for renewables.
