China approves subsidy for distributed solar power pilot projects
Subsidy is RMB0.42 (US$0.07) a kilowatt hour.
China will come up with a list of pilot zones by July 20, said a ranking official of the China Renewable Energy Society.
Pilot projects would have less than 6 MW of capacity and would be connected to grids with voltage of as much as 10 KV, said China State Grid Corporation.
China offers RMB1.00 a kilowatt hour for power generated from solar farms, except in Tibet, according to preferential prices set in 2011.
