220 MW gas-based power plant all set to kickoff in India
Cost is predicted to be around $16m.
According to a release, GAIL India Ltd has received environmental clearance to build a 220 MW combined cycle gas-based power plant at Raigad in Maharashtra, India. The cost of the project is expected to be around$16m.
The Environmental Impact Assessment Authority gave the go signal.
GAIL plans to set up the combined cycle gas based power plant within the existing LPG plant boundary. Electricity generated at the plant will be sold to Maharashtra.
