PLN to build 2 steam power plants in Indonesia
PLN plans to build two large-scale steam power plants in Pekanbaru and East Kalimantan in Indonesia.The two power plants will have a capacity of 2x110MW each.
For the projects, the Indonesian state-owned utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara or PLN signed memorandums of understanding with Rekayasa Industri, Hubei Honguan Power Engineering, Adhi Karya, and Sinohydro.
Both plants are expected to require investments of around US$150m each, according to The Jakarta Post.
PLN and the Regional Bank Association Asbanda will provide the funds for the plants.
