Trina Solar completes 5MW Gujarat plant

Changzhou Trina Solar and Lanco Infratech has completed the installation of a 5MW solar power plant in Gujarat, India.

The plant was developed by Lanco and is said to be one of the largest single-location PV solar power plants in India and the very first for the State of Gujarat. Trina Solar supplied all of the PV modules for the solar power project.

“India is one of the most promising solar growth markets, announcing its goal to achieve 22GW of solar energy by end of 2022. We believe our partnership with Lanco will play a significant role in fulfilling India’s solar potential under the National Solar Mission,” said Ku Jun Heong, director of sales and marketing for Asia Pacific at Trina Solar.
