Dong Xu orders KAI equipment for thin-film production

Oerlikon Solar will be supplying Dong Xu, a Chinese photoelectric glass manufacturer, with its KAI equipment. This is used in the coating process for thin-film silicon. Oerlikon Solar reveals that its KAI tools will be used as the core absorber technology for Dong Xu’s first thin-film silicon production line.

"Both parties have thus laid the grounds for a promising partnership for the planned future expansion of the customer's manufacturing capacity of thin-film silicon solar modules," says Helmut Frankenberger, CEO of Oerlikon Solar.
