
India, Bangladesh to jointly hold energy exhibit
An joint India and Bangladesh energy and electrical equipment exhibit will run for three days beginning May 21.
The India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Indian Chamber of Commerce have jointly organised the exhibition.
“We are going to arrange the exhibition to carry forward the initiatives towards mutual co-operation between India and Bangladesh in the field of energy and to bring important stakeholders of electricity industry of both the countries under a common umbrella,” said Nakib Ahmed, Advisor, Indian Chamber of Commerce.
IBCCI president Abdul Matlub Ahmad said the exhibition would showcase both Indian and Bangladeshi products. The large as well as small electrical equipment manufacturing industries in energy sector would participate in this initiative.
The exhibition will help to reduce the trade gap between the two countries to some extent, hoped Abdul Matlub Ahmad.
