Alstom to develop smart electrical grid solutions in Shanghai

Alstom Grid has opened its China Technology Center in Shanghai, which will develop solutions for smart electrical grids.

An advanced centre for research, development and testing of ultra-high voltage alternating current and energy management solutions.

Designed to accommodate large electrical equipment,  the US$66.7 million centre will be spread across 54,000m². It will also have a UHV testing hall and R&D platforms such as scientific simulation tools, climate chamber, temperature rise testing lab and material testing labs.
