China suspends 104 planned coal-fired power plants

This comes as it aggressively cracks down on coal power overcapacity.

China's National Energy Administration has revealed that 104 coal power projects have been suspended. The list included planned projects and currently being constructed ones, with a total capacity of 120GW.

Nearly 54GW of the said capacity is from projects that are already under construction. The suspensions are based in 13 provinces.
