IFC to lend $50M for India renewable energy
The International Finance Corporation will be lending $50 million to PTC India Financial Services to push renewable energy in the country.
The long term debt to PFS of $50 million, in the form of a senior loan, will be used exclusively for on-lending to companies and projects in the renewable energy space.
To help bridge the gaps that exist in infrastructure financing in India, IFC, through this partnership, will support smaller infrastructure local firms in developing sustainable and renewable sources in India.
