Phase 1 of Liangcun co-generation plant starts operations

The 300 MW Unit 1 of Liangcun Co-generation Plant Phase 1 of CPI Hebei Branch was put into commercial operation after a successful 168-hour full-load test running.

As the first large co-generation project built jointly by CPI and Shijiazhuang, also the first project that CPI Hebei Branch built and commissioned since its establishment, the Liangcun Co-generation Plant is built to supply heat to industrial users and residents in east Shijiazhuang. The project is designed to comprise four 300 MW co-generation units. The first 2×300MW units in Phase 1 were approved by NDRC on 18 February 2009, with the foundation stone laying ceremony held on June 30 and construction started on September 16.

The successful operation of Unit 1 of Liangcun Co-generation Plant is extremely important for CPI Hebei Branch to create "co-generation base centered on the provincial capital city", and of strategic significance for CPI’s development in Hebei.
