China Huaneng completes 300MW offshore wind project

70 turbines make up the plant.

China Huaneng has completed the 300MW Huaneng Rudong project that comprises of 70 turbines with 4MW-5MW capacities each.

Huaneng added that this is China's first time that a 5MW offshore wind turbine has been used in a commercial deployment.

The project site is around 14km away from the city of Nantong in Jiangsu province and was started in July 2015.
