ABB wins Guangdong Yudean control system deal
ABB will supply the complete process control system for units 3 and 4 of the Hui Lai thermal power plant. Located in the Guangdong province of China, the plants are owned by the Guangdong Yudean Group. Each of these units have generating capacity of 1,000 megawatts and are designed to set new efficiency standards in the country.

CR Power's 2009 net generation up 6.3%
CR Power's total net generation for the year 2009 also increased by 16.3 percent to 75,248,994 MWh, compared to 64,722,846 MWh for the year of 2008. Meanwhile, its total net generation for December 2009 exhibited a robust growth of 46.7 percent to 8,430,524 MWh from 5,747,346 MWh in 2008.
Sanmen Unit 2 completes first concrete pour
The first pour of basemat structural concrete for the nuclear island of Unit 2 at the Sanmen site in China was completed. The resulting structure will serve as the foundation for all of the nuclear island buildings, including the containment vessel and the shield building.
Laxiwa accomplishes annual 4 unit target
Unit 2 of Laxiwa Hydropower Station passed the 72-hour test run and has been synchronized for generation. With the generation of Unit 2, which is located on the Yellow River, the total installed power capacity of Qinghai Province has exceeded 10GW. So far, four 700MW units of Laxiwa Hydropower Station have begun generation, writing a resplendent chapter in the Chinese hydropower construction history.

CR Power increases net generation by 44.3%
