Gamesa secures $2B contract from Caparo Energy
Gamesa signed a framework agreement with Caparo Energy India to deliver about 2,000MW of wind turbines over the next five years.
Under this $2 billion deal, Gamesa will deliver and install its G58-850kW and G97-2.0MW wind turbines.
Gamesa will manufacture all the turbines at its factories in India.
All of the deliveries will take place between 2012 and 2016 and Gamesa is required to supply about 150MW of turbine capacity in 2012.
CEIL chief executive Ravi Kailas said the deal will help the company move into the next phase of its wind farm development and roll-out in India.
