China Datang to use Vestas wind turbines
Vestas has secured an order from China Datang to supply 25 units of V90-2.0MW wind turbines.
The wind turbines will be installed near the city of Hulunbeier in the north-eastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
The turbines are expected to be delivered in the second quarter of this year.
Under the contract, Vestas will deliver, install and commission the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
The contract also includes a service and maintenance agreement.
Vestas China president Jens Tommerup said that completing an entire project of 50MW in a window of five months is not easy, but he believes that they have the right people for this task.
"We also believe the construction part of the business will receive more attention going forward, and this is an area where our rich project experience and outstanding safety record set us apart," Tommerup added.
