NTPC launches tender for 1GW of solar capacity in India

Participants must bid for at least 50MW.

India’s thermal power group NTPC launched a tender for 1GW of grid-connected solar capacity in India to be developed under the Develop Build Demonstrate Transfer (DBDT) programme, according to Enerdata.

Bidders will have to submit bids for at least 50 MW in multiples of 10 MW, with a maximum capacity of 300 MW, before 18 November. Projects can be located in any place in India.

Last August, the company issued a tender to set up 1.2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects.
