Tata subsidiary to set up gas-based, bifuel power plants
Industrial Energy Limited will set up a 200 MW gas-based power plant, as well as a 450 MW bifuel TPP, capable of being run on gas and coal, in the state of Orissa.
The company, a Tata Power subsidiary, has invited bids for the BTG package of both the projects simultaneously.
The qualification bids are expected to be opened on July 11, 2011, followed by submission of price bids, the deadline for which will be notified later.
Bidders will have the option of participating in one or both the tenders, without prejudice for the exercise of any of the two. The scope of the contracts includes design, engineering, manufacture, assembly, testing and commissioning of the units in a time bound manner.
