BGR Energy bags EPC contract to set up Chhattisgarh thermal plant

BGR Energy was awarded an EPC contract to establish a 2x300 MW thermal power plant at the Nawapara village of Chhattisgarh.

 

The order from TRN Energy, worth Rs 1,698 crore, includes a foreign currency content of $188 million at an exchange rate of Rs 44.70. The contract provides for foreign exchange variation protection to the company at the actual exchange rate.

The company has tied up with Coal India subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited for coal linkage to its project.

The turn key contract completion will be 29 months for unit-I and 32 months for the unit-II.

The project has already been given forest and environmental clearances.
