
China to develop Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev discusses development of bilateral during China trip.
Nazarbayev and Zhou Jiping, President of China National Petroleum Corporation discussed the design of the program for complex cooperation in the oil and gas sector, which is based on the approach of access to raw material in exchange for investments in the oil service and refinery projects.
Nazarbayev was in China to attend the annual Boao Forum in Hainan province and to meet President Xi Jinping.
CNPC is a Chinese state-owned oil and gas corporation and the largest integrated energy company in China. It is the parent of PetroChina, the second largest company in the world in terms of market capitalization.
