
CR Power to invest in New Energy In Chongqing
CR Power is investigating the feasibility of wind farms in the cities of Wulong, Yuyang, Wuxi, and Chongqing.
The company is operating a wind farm of Datang International Power Generation in Wulong.
At present, China Resource New Energy has more than three million kilowatts in wind farm reserves and plans to launch the new projects and maintain an investment return of more than 11 percent, according to Li Jijin, Investment and Development department of the subsidiary.
In 2008, Datang International Power Generation and CSIC Chongqing Haizhuang Windpower Equipment constructed a wind farm with installed capacity of 49.3 megawatts in Wulong.
Chongqing has an electricity supply shortage of 1.10 million kilowatts and coal supply shortage of one million tons. The natural gas supply shortage is expected to range from 500 to 700 million cubic meters, according to Chongqing’s Development and Reform White Book.
