
Jinchang City to have over 1GW of added solar capacity
Jinchang City will add 1GW of PV capacity in its development centre under a five-year plan.
An agreement for the projects has been signed by the Jinchang Municipal Government and Shanghai Alex Solar Energy Science and Technology.
Solar power stations in the western slope of Jinchang City will soon be constructed and plans to open a new factory in the area known as the new Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The US$1.74 billion projects are to be owned, financed and developed by Alex Solar.

Zhang Lianwen, chairman of Alex Solar, commented that the agreement marked an opportunity to seek further cooperation with the city of Jinchang in order to continue the company’s mission of "utilizing science and technology to improve the quality of life for all people domestically and abroad.
