CPI to help transport electricity, coal from Xinjiang to east China
CPI will transport gas, coal and electricity from Xinjiang to east China and develop clean energies in Xinjiang as its central strategy.
It will increase investment in such areas as coal-fired power generation and coal-chemistry for the purpose of promoting industry-based assistance at a high starting point, on a high level and with high benefits. By 2020, China Power Investment will have accumulatively invested more than RMB150 billion in Xinjiang, forming 70 million tons of coal production capacity with majority shares and installed power capacity of 10GW.
CPI has also signed an agreement on CPI East Junggar Coal-power Integrated Project and Huocheng Coal Project with Xinjiang Autonomous Region and signed cooperation agreement on restructuring relevant chemical enterprises with Xinjiang SASAC. CPI Xinjiang Company signed cooperation agreements on relevant projects with Yili Prefecture Government and No.6 Agricultural Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
