Haryana Power gets environmental clearance for gas-fired plant
Haryana Power has received environmental clearance for the construction of a 1,500MW gas-based power project in Haryana, India.
The federal power ministry has recommended allocating 2.8 million metric standard cubic metres a day of gas for one 750MW unit.
The gas is expected to be sourced from the Krishna-Godavari basin in Andhra Pradesh.
The State Government of Haryana is also seeking approval for the allocation of 7.5MMSCMD of gas to operate the plant at its full capacity.
HPGCL has already acquired a lot approximately 91 acres in size, and is purchasing the additional 50 acres of land for the plant which will receive 37 cusecs of water.
