Suzlon chief forecasts Indian wind energy to grow at 40%

Indian wind energy will register close to 40 per cent growth rate in the wind segment, according to Suzlon chairman and managing director Tulsi Tanti. He added that it will continue to contribute the maximum to the renewable energy mix in India in the short term.”

Wind energy sector globally is recording fast phased growth after the 2008 slowdown. The order books with the major players will substantiate the healthy growth, says Tanti.

Tanti explained that the adaptation of newer technology will enhance this growth rate.
