The first-stage of Jiuquan wind energy base, China's biggest wind farm project,  has been completed. It is located in the desert area near Jiuquan city, northwest China's Gansu province, which has abundant wind resources. 

The Punjab government signed memoranda of understanding with two Chinese companies for cooperation several hydro, wind and solar power projects across the province.

Alstom inaugurated its new hydropower manufacturing facility at Tianjin in China. The new site is to be named Alstom Hydro China Co. Ltd. or AHC and will, over time, fully replace Alstom’s original factory in China, Tianjin Alstom Hydro or TAH.
